Overview

The Integrated Media Planner will develop objectives, strategies, plans and presentations in collaboration with the Account Service & Media Team. In this role, you must effectively leverage experience, knowledge and skills to push fresh thinking to address client, agency, and team needs with the assistance of the senior leaders on the account.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Display a mastery of media fundamentals, including experience and interest across traditional and digital media
  • Research, interpret, and evaluate available marketing data to develop media plan recommendations that will deliver on the client's business goals and media strategies
  • Demonstrate proficiency with industry planning tools (e.g., MRI,Telmar, Nielsen Media Impact, Nielsen Ad Intel, etc.) to identify media opportunities, assess the competitive landscape, and pull plan deliveries
  • Perform competitive analyses, generate insights, and identify trends for competitors and make recommendations based on key findings
  • Develop a deep understanding of an existing and/or prospective client's business (e.g. sales, seasonality, target audience, etc.)
  • Evaluate capabilities and composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would be most effective in reaching target audience
  • Evaluate and assess media performance to determine the extent to which the original media objectives and strategies were accomplished
  • Create post-campaign reports/decks in collaboration with the Analytics team
  • Produce and present points-of-view on new media opportunities and marketplace trends
  • Maintain media plan flowcharts and budget summaries
  • Coordinate and communicate across inter-agency partnerships and internal resources/teams
  • Stay apprised of industry landscape, industry standards, and latest technologies and offerings
  • Evaluate media opportunities and provide solid and actionable POVs

 

Qualifications

  • BA or BS Degree from an accredited College or University
  • 7+ years of experience in advertising
  • Hands-on, "roll up your sleeves," action-oriented personality
  • Significant experience in direct (response) marketing or performance marketing
  • Deep experience in linear and digital audio and video channels
  • Proficiency across all media planning core skills and tools: reach and frequency, competitive analysis, audience creation/analysis, plan reporting and optimization i.e MRI, Kantar, Telmar, Nielsen, Comcast, Excel, MediaOcean, Comscore, Pathmatics, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Passion for advertising, strategy, and media
  • Must be curious, resourceful, and solution-focused
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presenting experience preferred
  • Exuding confidence and comfort during virtual and in-person meetings and presentations is essential
